TMZ broke the story this morning that Prince was found unresponsive in the elevator of his Paisley Park home headed to his studio where a 911 calls was made. First responders tried to revive him and pronounced Prince dead at 10:07 am Central Time. Born Prince Rogers Nelson, a Minnesota native started his music career at 19 years old. Prince shot to superstardom in 1982 with his album 1999, his success grew a few years later with Purple Rain and its accompanying g soundtrack with the same name. Prince’s Wikipedia page said the star was a seven time Grammy winner and a 1985 Academy Award winner for best original song score for Purple Rain. In 2004 Prince was inducted into The Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame where he blew people away with his rendition of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. TMZ had first reported trouble with Princes health on April 15th last Friday when they reported after a show 48 minutes from home Princes private jet was forced to make an emergency landing where he went to the emergency room and was released after three hours. Today TMZ is now reporting several sources have told them Prince had to make the emergency landing due to an opiate overdose where he needed a save shot and was supposed to be monitored for 24 hours at least. Prince signed himself out against doctors wishes. TMZ also reports the next night Prince addressed fans at a dance party he organized at Paisley Park initially people thought was to show he was ok but his statement “Wait a few days before you waste any Praters” now seems prophetic like he sensed his death. After Princes Protege Vanity died, he began working on a memoir about a month ago, TMZ said he only got about 50 pages completed. Tributes are pouring in for Prince all over the internet and many landmarks lit up with purple lights in honor of Prince.
