Ozzy Osbourne and Corey Taylor announce Ozzfest meets Knotfest festival and line up

Yesterday Ozzy Osbourne and Corey Taylor held a press conference at The Palladium Theater in Hollywood California and invited fans to join in on the festivities. Fans began lining up outside The Palladium at 3 am. I showed up with friends at 6:40 am. The vibe was good and people were playing music. There was a good mix of Black Sabbath and Slipknot fans. Shortly after 7am we were entertained by a whole troupe of side show artist led by Dangerous D http://darinmalfi.com bug eating, sword swallowing, juggling and a stilt walker was some of the entertainment.  Around 8 am they began bringing the line in and handing out wristbands. Doors opened at 1030 am. As I was entering Access Hollywood was interviewing people asking them what they thought of Sharon and Ozzy’s split. I was interviewed and seen myself used in the show later on in the day. Promptly at noon we were shown a 90 minute documentary with clips and interviews from Ozzfest. Sharon Osbourne came out and introduced Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Corey Taylor onto the stage. Sharon explained how 20 years ago when they started Ozzfest there was no metal festivals at the time and Ozzfest filled the void. Sharon went on to say how early on with Ozzfest Slipknot was helped to come up by Ozzfest and how they now how their very successful Knotfest bringing more metal festivals to fans. Sharon than announced Ozzfest was going to team up for Ozzfest meets Knotfest for one incredible weekend of metal. Ozzfest is Saturday September 24th with Black Sabbath headlining for their last California show. The rest of the line up is Disturbed, Megadeth, Opeth, Black Label Society, Children Of Bodem, Hatebreed, Devil Driver, Municipal Waste, Rival Sons, Goatwhore, Huntress, DeadCross, Kataklysm and three other acts. On Sunday September 25 is Knotfest with Slipknot headlining. The rest of the days line up is Slayer, Amon Amarth, Anthrax,Trivium, Sabaton, Suicide Silence, White Chapel, Emmure, Over Kill, Butcher Babies, Man With a Mission, Combichrist, Death Angel, Sim and One. Held in San Bernadino at the San Manuel Amph and Camp grounds. Towards the end of the set Corey Taylor came onstage and performed Faries wear boots. The singer of Disturbed closed out the set with Zakk Sabath.
