Thursday night Guns N Roses Not In This Lifetime Tour made it’s way to their hometown Los Angeles to perform two nights at Dodger Stadium. Opening for the legends was rock royalty themselves The Cult. Promoting their latest album Hidden City, The Cult was on point and put on a good show. The Cult hit the stage at 6:30 as fans were arriving and finding their seats at the stadium. The Cults hour long set went by so fast I was hungry for more. Early on during the set Ian Astbury said As above, so below. Something very significant if you are an Occultist or aware of the Occult. Despite many people believing Axl Rose is never on time and would be late to the stage Guns N Roses went on a few minutes after 8 o’clock. Many fans seemed thrown off by this. The band had great energy and played together very well. Fans were ecstatic to see most of the original line up back together. Having seen Axl perform in Vegas at the new T Mobile Arena sitting in Dave Grohl’s old throne after he broke his foot the night of the surprise Troubadour concert seeing Axl dancing onstage again was great. Axl has energy and charisma still to this day. The first time I seen Axl he was much heavier and it was with the “imposter” Guns N Roses as many would call them. Even than with all the weight Axl had it. Five years later much of that weight is gone and age has not been to cruel to him. An Australian leg of The Not In This Life Time Tour has been announced and tickets go on sale at a later date. No European dates have been scheduled yet but I forsee that happening soon.
